It's also one of the first versions that Create supports. 1.16.5 is probably where you'd mark the beginning of the more modern era of Minecraft modding, as you're more likely to find mods like Actually Additions and such. ![]() 1.12.2 is also decently notable because of modpacks like RLCraft and SkyFactory 4. ![]() 1.8.8 is where you'll find most PvP mods and clients, so it's not really noteworthy in the context of gameplay mods. While earlier versions are also less stable due to not having later bugfixes, you can actually download mods that fix a lot of crashes and issues with 1.7.10. Thaumcraft 4 and its addons, Witchery, Extra Utilities 1. 1.7.10 has a lot of classics that haven't been ported to later versions, e.g. 1.4.2, 1.5.2, and 1.6.4 are basically the go-to for old modpacks.
